We are pleased to announce that the Third Tokaj Wine Congress will take place on 6–9 May 2027 in Sárospatak, Hungary, in the heart of the historic Tokaj wine region. Over four days, the congress will bring together the international community working at the intersection of viticulture, oenology, sustainability and the circular bioeconomy.
The 2027 edition is built around seven thematic sessions: advances in viticulture and oenology, the valorisation of by-products, vine and wine economics, grapevine and wine in human health, the cultural heritage of wine, and the future of education in integrated vine and wine science.
Plenary keynotes, parallel scientific sessions, a structured field programme in the Tokaj region, and professional visits to local wineries and research sites are woven across the four days. The congress is held entirely in English, and a detailed programme — including keynote speakers and the scientific committee — will be announced in the coming weeks.
Researchers, vintners, students, policy-makers and partner institutions are warmly invited to register their interest. Early registration helps us shape the programme around our community.
